About the Oxford Symposium

The Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery, an annual gathering of food writers, scientists, historians and sociologists held at St. Antony’s College, Oxford, is the longest running conference of its type in the world. Although the Symposium is not specifically devoted to historical aspects of the culinary art, many of the Symposia papers address topics of interest to the food and culinary historian. The papers are available in annual volumes, all are imported softcovers. These volumes are discounted 10% from the publisher's suggested retail.
